Last week, I wrote a post about how Google’s algorithm and rules are increasingly geared toward hurting the small business. Essentially, big businesses, with big marketing budgets that get natural links are winning the organic ranking game because Google precludes small business from buying links. Google recently rolled out Google+ which is the clever little +1 Button in the search results. Basically, it is a way that people can vote on a site. This, in addition to inbound links, will be theoretically the main part of the ranking algorithm in the next several updates.
